About
While some locals keep saying that the restaurants on Cours Saleya are 'only for tourists,' others have been coming there for generations. And Le Safari is probably the best example. An institution on Cours Saleya since 1972, the place is one of those restaurants where you came as a child with your parents and where you return today with your own friends or family. Here, you don't come for a pizza. You come for a real daube niçoise, for local recipes executed with seriousness, and for this atmosphere of a lively large table that is part of the DNA of the place. The 'Maître Restaurateur' label is not there by chance. Le Safari is one of those places that remind you that a restaurant can be both iconic, central, frequented by visitors… and deeply rooted in the life of Nice residents.
